1. Information we collect

We collect specific information directly from you, such as the details you provide, your activity related to content usage, and data from third-party platforms linked to Adhyaas. Additionally, certain data is collected automatically, including information about your device and your interactions with various features of our Services. All information collected may undergo processing activities such as collection, recording, organization, storage, modification, retrieval, encryption, pseudonymization, deletion, combination, and transmission.

1.1 Data You Provide to Us

The types of data we collect from or about you may vary based on how you interact with our Services. To provide clarity, here are some examples of the information we may gather.
When you register an account or access the Services—whether directly or via a third-party platform—we collect the information you provide to us, including:

a. Account Data

To access certain features (such as viewing content), you must create a user account, which involves providing and storing your email address, password, and account preferences. If you register as an instructor, we also collect and store your name along with these details. As you explore more features, you may be asked to share additional information. For instance, you might voluntarily submit your phone number for authentication, or details related to your learning preferences, such as your occupation and skill interests. If you apply to become an instructor, we may also collect sensitive information including a government-issued ID, a verification photo, date of birth, race or ethnicity, and your phone number. When your account is created, a unique identification number is assigned to you for internal reference.

b. Profile Data

You have the option to add extra profile information, including your photo, headline, bio, language preference, website, social media links, country, and other personal details. Keep in mind that this profile data will be publicly accessible to others.

c. Shared Content

Certain features of the Services allow you to engage with other users or share content publicly. This includes uploading courses or materials, writing reviews, participating in Q&A, sending messages to instructors or students, and posting photos or other submissions. Any content you share through these features may be visible to others.

d. Learning Data

When you access content, we collect certain information, including details about the courses, assignments, labs, workspaces, and quizzes you have started or completed; your content and subscription purchases and credits; active subscriptions; earned completion certificates and badges; interactions with instructors, teaching assistants, and fellow learners; as well as any essays, answers, or other materials you submit to meet course or content-related requirements.

e. Student Payment Data

When you make a purchase, we collect certain information necessary to process your order, such as your name, billing address, and ZIP code, which may also be stored to facilitate future transactions. You are required to provide specific payment and billing details—such as your name, credit card information, billing address, and ZIP code—directly to our third-party payment service providers. We may also receive limited information from these providers, such as notification of a new card and the last four digits of the card number, to support payment processing. For security reasons, Adhyaas does not collect or store sensitive cardholder data, including full credit card numbers or authentication details.

f. Instructor or Organisation Payment Data

If you are an instructor or organisation, you may link your bank account or another supported payment account to our Services to receive payments. When setting up a payment account, we collect and use certain details—such as your payment account email address, account ID, physical address, and other necessary information—to facilitate payment transfers. In some cases, we may also collect ACH or wire transfer details to process payments. To comply with applicable laws, we collaborate with trusted third parties to collect legally required tax information, which may include your residency status, tax identification number, biographical details, and other personal data needed for tax compliance. For security purposes, Adhyaas does not collect or store sensitive bank account information. The collection, use, and disclosure of your payment, billing, and tax information are governed by the privacy policy and terms of your respective payment account provider.

g. Data About Your Accounts On Other Services

We may receive certain information from your social media or other online accounts if they are connected to your Adhyaas account. When you log in to Adhyaas using Facebook or another third-party platform or service, those platforms may share information with us through their APIs. The specific data we receive depends on your privacy settings and the information made available by the platform or service, and typically includes your first and last name, user ID, and email address.
Please note that if you access or use our Services through a third-party platform, your data will also be subject to that platform’s privacy policy and other applicable terms.

h. Promotions And Surveys

We may invite you to participate in a survey or take part in a promotion—such as a contest, sweepstakes, or challenge—either through its platform or via a third-party service. If you choose to participate, we will collect and store the information you provide, which may include your name, email address, postal address, date of birth, or phone number. Unless otherwise specified in the official rules of the promotion or in a separate privacy policy, this information will be governed by this Privacy Policy.
The collected data will be used to manage the promotion or survey, including notifying winners and distributing any rewards. To claim a reward, you may be asked to consent to the public display of certain information (e.g., on a winner’s announcement page). If a third-party platform is used to conduct the survey or promotion, the privacy policy of that third party will also apply.

i. Communications and Support

We collect and store your contact details, messages, and other relevant information such as your name, email address, location, Adhyaas user ID, refund transaction IDs, and any additional data you provide or that we collect through automated means (as outlined below). This information is used to respond to your inquiry and to investigate and address your concern.

To learn more about cookies, you can visit https://cookiepedia.co.uk/all-about-cookies. Additionally, we may use clear pixels in emails to monitor deliverability and open rates.
Adhyaas and our service providers (including Google Analytics and third-party advertisers) also use server log files and automated data collection technologies—such as cookies, tags, scripts, customized links, device or browser fingerprints, and web beacons (collectively referred to as “Data Collection Tools”)—when you access and interact with the Services. These tools automatically collect certain System Data and Usage Data (as outlined in Section 1). Ads may reflect your recent activity or behavior across different sites and over time. To support personalized advertising, we may share a hashed, anonymized version of your email address and publicly shared content with our advertising partners.
Social Media: These tools enable features like sharing content with your network via social media platforms. They may also track user or device behavior across other websites to build a profile of your interests for the purpose of delivering targeted advertising.
You can configure your web browser to notify you when cookies are being placed on your device, restrict the types of cookies you permit, or block cookies entirely. However, doing so may impact the functionality of certain features within the Services, and your overall experience may be limited or altered. 9. Promotions Policy

This Promotions Policy (“Policy”) outlines the ways instructors on Adhyaas can promote their content, such as through instructor-generated coupons, referral links, and Adhyaas optional marketing programs. This Policy is part of our Terms and Conditions and Instructor Terms. Any capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings assigned in those documents.
If this Policy is translated into a language other than English, the English version will take precedence in case of any discrepancies.

9.1 Overview of Promotional Program Work

You can opt into these programs through the Promotional Agreements section in your instructor marketing section or through a written agreement (including via email) between you and Adhyaas, as explained below. The availability of specific programs may change over time.
Please note that not all offers or programs are available in every region or for all content on Adhyaas. Adhyaas reserves full authority to decide which content will be included in the Promotional Programs and to set or adjust the sale prices. Adhyaas also has the right to remove any of your content from these programs at any time, at its sole discretion, with or without prior notice.
Discount percentages mentioned are approximate, as actual discount rates may vary slightly due to rounding or currency conversion. Adhyaas does not guarantee any specific level of success through participation in the Promotional Programs.

9.2 Types of Promotions Allowed

Adhyaas offers multiple promotional tools to help instructors boost course visibility, attract more students, and increase earnings. The three main types of promotions allowed on the platform are:

a. Instructor Coupons

Instructors can create and share custom discount coupons for their courses. These coupons give instructors control over how their content is promoted and allow them to offer special pricing to their own audience. Instructors can set the discount percentage (e.g., 10% to 70%), expiry date, and distribute the coupons via email, social media, or personal websites. This method is ideal for building a personal brand and encouraging direct engagement with learners.

b. Platform-wide Discounts (Deals Program)

Adhyaas may run platform-wide promotions, such as seasonal sales, flash deals, or bundle offers. These campaigns are managed by Adhyaas and often offer courses at significantly reduced prices to attract a larger audience. Instructors can choose to participate in such programs. While the course price may be lower during promotions, these deals often result in higher sales volume, increasing overall earnings and exposure.

9.3 Instructor Coupon Policy

Instructors are empowered to market their courses directly to students using custom coupons. These instructor-generated coupons provide a flexible and personalized way for teachers to promote their content and increase enrollments while maintaining control over pricing and promotional strategies.

a. Create Custom Coupons

Instructors can create unique coupon codes for each course they publish on Adhyaas. These codes can be shared through various channels, such as email newsletters, personal websites, YouTube descriptions, blogs, and social media platforms. This allows instructors to target specific audiences and reward loyal followers or early adopters with exclusive discounts.

b. Discount Range

Instructors can define their own discount amount within an allowed range. The maximum discount limit allowed under the coupon policy is typically up to 70% off the base course price. This ensures that while students enjoy significant savings, the perceived value of the course is preserved. At the same time, a minimum discount value may also be enforced (e.g., at least 5%) to ensure that the coupon adds clear value to the learner.

c. Validity Period

Each instructor coupon must have a defined validity period, which determines how long the coupon will remain active and usable. The standard validity window could be up to 30 days, though instructors can set shorter periods if desired. After the expiry date, the coupon will automatically become inactive, ensuring promotions are timely and relevant.

d. Transparent Pricing for Students

When a coupon is applied, students will see the discounted price clearly displayed at checkout. This transparency helps build trust and improves conversion rates, as students are more likely to purchase when they know they are receiving a legitimate offer.

e. Revenue Sharing

When students use an instructor’s coupon to enroll in a course, the instructor earns a higher share of the revenue, often up to 70% of the net amount. This is higher compared to other types of purchases and encourages instructors to proactively market their courses through these coupons.

f. Coupon Abuse Prevention

To maintain fairness on the platform, instructors must not misuse coupons (e.g., mass distribution through unauthorized channels or reselling discounted access). Any misuse may lead to the coupon being disabled or disciplinary action against the instructor's account.
In summary, the Instructor Coupon Policy enables educators on Adhyaas to take ownership of their course marketing. By offering discounted access with time-bound coupons, instructors can reach more students, build a loyal following, and maximize their earnings - all while providing high-value learning experiences.

9.4 Deals Program (If Any)

The Deals Program is a promotional initiative designed to enhance the visibility and sales performance of courses offered on the Adhyaas platform. This program allows the platform to market selected courses at compellingly discounted rates to attract a broader audience and increase overall enrollment.

a. Instructor Participation & Opt-In Requirement

Participation in the Deals Program is entirely voluntary. Instructors who wish to benefit from increased promotional efforts and wider student reach must explicitly opt in to join the program. By opting in, the instructor grants Adhyaas permission to offer their course content at discounted prices in accordance with the platform’s promotional strategy.
Instructors who choose not to opt into the Deals Program will have their courses listed strictly at the base price set by them, with no platform-driven discounts applied. This ensures that instructors maintain control over whether and how their content is discounted through platform-led campaigns.

b. Pricing Strategy & Adjustments

Once an instructor opts into the Deals Program, course pricing may be dynamically adjusted by Adhyaas to suit market trends, seasonal campaigns, audience demand, or regional purchasing power. The platform may determine discount levels based on historical data, competitor pricing, or promotional goals, with the intention of maximizing course visibility and conversions.
In most cases, the platform will not reduce the price below a specified minimum threshold, except in cases involving strategic partnerships or third-party distribution channels. Pricing decisions are typically made using automated algorithms and human insights, and may vary based on market conditions and user segments.
The revenue share structure for sales under the Deals Program will be governed by the platform’s Promotions Policy, and instructors will be able to view detailed analytics and earnings related to such sales through their instructor dashboard.

c. Transparent Communication

Adhyaas is committed to transparency, and instructors will receive timely notifications regarding any major changes to promotional pricing policies. They may also opt out of the Deals Program at any time, though ongoing promotions may remain active until completion.

9.5 Revenue Share During Promotions

The revenue an instructor earns on Adhyaas varies depending on the type of promotion applied during a sale. When an instructor uses their own coupon code, they are entitled to receive up to 70% of the net revenue generated from that sale. This approach gives instructors more control over their earnings and allows them to directly market their courses.
In contrast, when a course is sold through a platform-led promotion—such as a site-wide discount or through the Deals Program—the revenue share is typically adjusted. In such cases, instructors generally receive a reduced percentage, such as 30–50%, depending on the promotional arrangement and marketing efforts undertaken by the platform.
All revenue shares are calculated after deducting applicable transaction taxes, payment gateway fees, or any platform-specific service charges. Adhyaas ensures that the earnings breakdown is clearly visible to instructors through their dashboard, offering full transparency in all promotional scenarios.

9.6 Opt-in/Opt-out Option

Instructors on Adhyaas have full control over their participation in promotional programs. They can choose to opt-in and allow the platform to include their courses in various discount campaigns and marketing offers. This may help increase visibility and student enrollments. Alternatively, instructors can opt-out at any time if they prefer to sell their content only at the original base price. However, any promotions already active at the time of opting out will continue until they expire or are completed as scheduled.

9.9 Policy Updates

Adhyaas reserves the full right to make changes, revisions, or updates to its Promotions Policy at any time, as part of its ongoing efforts to improve the platform experience for both instructors and learners. These changes may include modifications to the types of promotions allowed, instructor revenue share models, discount structures, or participation guidelines.
Whenever an update is made to the Promotions Policy, Adhyaas will ensure timely and transparent communication with all instructors. Instructors will be notified of such changes through appropriate and accessible channels, such as email, in-platform notifications, or announcements via the instructor dashboard.
It is the responsibility of the instructor to review these policy changes. Continued participation in any promotional program after an update implies acceptance of the revised terms. Instructors who do not agree with the updated policy have the option to opt out of the promotional programs at any time by adjusting their promotion settings in their account.
Adhyaas aims to make all policy updates clear, fair, and aligned with industry standards and legal compliance. These changes are designed to enhance overall marketing effectiveness, protect the brand, and ensure that learners are receiving genuine, valuable offers.
